The Stone Soup Dinner and Auction is the annual gala fundraiser for Prairie Circle Unitarian Universalist Congregation (PCUUC), and it accounts for roughly 10% of the PCUUC budget. In 2010, we raised $10, 000 for PCUUC and $1,000 for our Social Action Charities.
The auction takes place on a Saturday evening each fall and consists of an evening of great food, live music, and fun. It is a time to come together as a community with our friends and family and raise money to sustain our church. This is a family-friendly event with both adult and youth activities.
The Fundraising Committee relies on our members and friends for auction donations as well as a large volunteer base for the planning and running of this gala event. Please keep your eyes and ears open for details on our next event.
In 2010, we had 20 crock pots of homemade soups, 2 different home-brews, games, raffles, prizes, a bakery table, live music, and more.
We give 10% of all proceeds to PADS and AVON Township food pantry, our Social Action Charities, and we also collect canned foods at the door.
There really is something for everyone when PCUUC makes Stone Soup.
