Avon Township Food Pantry
Food donations and monetary donations are always needed and always appreciated. Please bring your donation to any Sunday service. Some of the suggested food items are as follows:

Please bring your aluminum cans, too. The Pantry sells them and uses the proceeds to buy milk and eggs.

PADS – Helping People Out of Homelessness
PCUUC’s social action work includes providing assistance to the PADS shelter, which supports the homeless in Lake County.
PADS stands for “Public Action to Deliver Shelter and Supportive Services.” PADS centers are located at the following addresses:

How Can You Help?
- Third Sunday Meals: Cook or deliver and serve a third Sunday meal at the Center at 914 Eighth Street (working with North Shore Unitarian Church on this effort).
- Deliver Food: Make a food bank delivery to the Center.
- Donate Time: Volunteer as a computer tutor who will help PADS clients learn basic computer skills.
- Provide Lunches: Make 42 bag lunches for PADS clients so they have lunches during the week.
- Daytime Childcare: Provide daytime childcare 3:00 – 5:00 pm, 2-3 times each week, while parents are working. Help with homework, read, and play games with the children.
- Evening Childcare: Provide evening childcare 6:00 – 8:00 pm while clients attend training and group meetings. Help with homework, read, and play games with the children.
- Donate Supplies: Donate bedding, blankets, pillows, lamps, or money for supplies.
