When All the People

When all the people of the world love,

Then the strong will not overpower the weak.

The many will not oppress the few.

The wealthy will not mock the poor.

The honored will not disdain the humble.

The cunning will not deceive the simple.

Social Justice

This year, Unitarian Universalists are celebrating 60 years of justice by honoring the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) Board Chair Dr. William F Schulz states,

"…only one sacred text, one mythic voice, in the entire world tackles two of the most controversial subjects in human history, namely, the nature of humanity and the ethics of public order… the UDHR is a declaration by the world community of a promise it has made to itself, a covenant it has entered into with itself, all the nations of the world with one another."

To read the full text version, visit: www.unhchr.ch/udhr/lang/eng.htm.
