Q. What is the significance of the Lighting of the Chalice?
A: “At the opening of Unitarian Universalist worship services, many congregations light a flame inside a chalice. This flaming chalice has become a well-known symbol of our denomination. It unites our members in worship and symbolizes the spirit of our work.”

Q: Why do some members of the PCUUC community share a joy or a concern during worship services?
A: Sharing joys and concerns during our worship services allows members of our community to celebrate with other members as well as share sorrows and concerns. We share joys and concerns so that we may support one another.
Q: Is music an important aspect of PCUUC worship services?
A: Absolutely. Music moves us and binds us together in a way no other human experience can. PCUCC is fortunate to have a number of talented musicians within our community as well as a wonderful choir.
Q. How are the various preachers at PCUUC selected?
A: We strive to host a variety of religious leaders including Unitarian Universalist ministers, religious leaders from other traditions, and lay leaders. If you are interested in preaching at PCUUC, please e-mail Worship@PrairieCircleUUC.org.
