COMMITTEES & TEAMS
PCUUC Committees that exist to support the functions of our Congregation. These Committees strengthen our UU Community. As a lay-led organization, PCUUC Members, Friends, and Long-term Visitors contribute their time, talents, and passions to our spiritual community.
Finding a group of journey partners is important to feeling connected and like you belong in a community. Each person has their own way of getting involved with a congregation. Many start with Sunday services, but those who tend to find a home here are those who find a small group experience that offers meaningful connection.
At PCUUC, we know that life is full of ups and downs, and that's why we have a dedicated Caring Committee to support our congregation through it all. Whether you're celebrating a joyous occasion or going through a difficult time, our committee is here for you. Our members send thoughtful cards and make follow-up phone calls to show their support and let you know that you're not alone. We also offer personal visits to those in need, whether it's in their homes, hospitals, or nursing homes. And if you need a meal or a ride, we're happy to lend a hand. We understand that grief can be a challenging journey, and that's why we offer compassionate support and guidance to help you through it. Our committee is also available to meet with families to plan funeral services that honor the memory of their loved ones. At PCUUC, we're a community that cares for one another. Join us and experience the warmth and compassion of our Caring Committee today.
Children's Religious Education Committee
The goals of Prairie Circle Unitarian Universalist Congregation (PCUUC) Children’s Religious Education program are to provide a place where children can: feel welcome and have a sense of belonging, explore religious ideas in an open-minded community, define and redefine their beliefs and ask questions. We hope to create an environment that respects and celebrates diversity while offering children opportunities to translate their ideals into actions.
At PCUUC, we know that finding a new community can be both exciting and intimidating. That's why our Membership Committee is here to welcome you with open arms and help you get acquainted with our congregation.
