About the event
This year will mark 131 times that Labor Day has been celebrated in the U.S., a federal holiday to recognize the dignity of work and workers, as well as the contributions of the labor movement to our country. On this Sunday and Labor Day weekend, we will revisit ways that workers’ rights, human rights, and faith have been intertwined throughout our UU history and heritage. What does our deep and heartfelt belief in the inherent worthiness and dignity of each person call us to do in workplace, in our country, and in our world?
Dave Becker is a Unitarian Universalist Minister and Interfaith Chaplain. He is Pastor for Prairie Circle Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Grayslake, IL and for Tree of Life Unitarian Universalist Congregation in McHenry, IL.
Services held in person in the Colby Barn are also available on Zoom. To join us on Zoom, please go to the WORSHIP…
