Kristal Lynn Larson is the Executive Director of the LGBTQ+ Center Lake County, an organization committed to making Lake County a place for LGBTQ+ identifying persons and their families a place to feel welcome and thrive in their personal and professional lives. She blends her passion for social impact, lived queer experience and sound business expertise to increase visibility and awareness of and within the community. She focuses on advocacy and education to bring greater understanding of the LGBTQ+ community to the people of Lake County while providing support to her peers. As the Clerk for Avon Township, Kristal serves as the first openly transgender elected official in Lake County and one of less than 100 nationwide. In that role she has helped to craft and pass legislation and policy benefiting the LGBTQ+ community throughout Illinois.
