Time & Location

About the event
Tony's sermon on this first Sunday of the new year will explore these questions: What makes a religion a religion? Is it faith in something supernatural? Does it always include a belief in life after death? Does it always include an ethical system? (And, if so, is it a cause of ethics or its effect?) Finally, does UUism count as a religion?
Rev. Dr. Tony Larsen (he/him) is currently serving (part-time) as the minister of Unitarian Church North in Mequon, Wisconsin, after retiring from a 40-year ministry at the UU Church in Racine, Wisconsin. Tony studied to be a Catholic priest before he switched to the UU ministry and has written a book entitled "Trust Yourself: You Have the Power" (Impact Publishers, 1979); authored a UUA curriculum called "A Catechism for Unitarian Universalists" (1988); and contributed chapters to 2 Skinner House books, "Salted With Fire" and "Everyday Spiritual Practice."
