About the event
The Art of Vulnerability - Embracing Vulnerability is an act of courage and resistance. When the news walks through the door of our hearts telling us about the death and destruction, we may flinch, closing ourselves, recalling the generosity of being vulnerable. It is the open heart, that lends us the ability of giving freely that save us, that gives us meaning in the meaningless rubble of the world. “The meaning of my life is to help others find the meaning in their life.” Victor Frankl, who choose to share his experience in the Concentration Camps with the world - who embraced hope standing in love modeled vulnerability as an act of resistance.
Lou (she/her), a resident of Woodstock, Ill, is a certified Organization and Relationship Systems Coach (ORSCC) who owns her own coaching and consulting firm. She provides leadership development for corporate environments, individuals, and small government groups. Lou is also a long-time advocate for marginalized communities and believes that as a deacon, she is called to "be with" those left out of the social order. In 2014, she walked from Rockford, Ill to Washington, DC, listening to the hearts of people in small town and rural areas, an experience that transformed her.
