Sunday service with speaker Leslie Piotrowski

Have you ever thought that you were saying something that was clear and straightforward but later learned that you had been misunderstood? Cross-cultural understanding and cross-cultural awareness are not only things to practice in a foreign country. They are needed here as well. Leslie will discuss her experiences while serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Asia and how they helped her on her personal journey toward building meaningful connections, friendships and love.

Leslie joined PCUUC about five years ago. She served as the communications manager for the Lake County Health Department and the communications director for Hawthorn School District 73. She also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines and was on the board of the Chicago Area Peace Corps Association for eight years. She lives in the Grayslake area with her husband, Ulrich, and cat, Nijinsky.
