Sunday Virtual Service with Thad Smith

Our words, stories, and beliefs describe reality but they are not reality, especially in matters of faith and spiritual practice. Thad will try to encourage your spiritual growth by sharing stories about books and podcasts that cracked his map on a journey to Unitarian Universalism and Christianity.

Thad was raised in suburban New Jersey with his college professor mother and in rural Eastern Oregon with his cattle rancher father. After graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy and serving in the Marine Corps, he settled in Grayslake for nearly 30 years before moving to Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood last year. He is married to his high school sweetheart and has two adult children who also live in Chicago. Thad and his wife split time in Knoxville TN.
